The Fundamentals of Teaching English Language Development (Grades K-12)
This course is designed for K-12 teachers who have little or no background teaching English language learners (ELLs). It is intended to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of teaching English Language Development (ELD), including the types of programs for English language learners, theories of language acquisition, approaches to teaching a second language, the stages of language acquisition, the dynamics of English language development in the classroom, and assessment strategies. Additionally, activities and resources for teaching about culture in the classroom will also be provided. Click the links below to register.
